Privacy Policy

Last updated August 19, 2026

Your trust matters to us. Admito is a service operated by Admito LLC ("Admito", "we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to help you on your college journey.

Information we collect

  • Account information — your email, name, password (stored only as a secure hash), date of birth, and phone number (phone is optional unless required for your role). We collect date of birth at sign-up to confirm you meet our minimum age and to apply the right protections for minors.
  • Profile and academic information you provide — things like grades, test scores, courses and activities, interests, intended major, location, and college and scholarship preferences.
  • Sensitive information you choose to provide — every one of these is optional, each offers a "Prefer not to say" choice, and you can leave them blank: race or ethnicity, gender identity, citizenship or immigration status, first-generation status, disability status, LGBTQ+ identification, religion or religious affiliation, foster-youth status, and military or veteran affiliation. We also let you add annual household income, household size, and how many family members are in college. We use these only to improve college and scholarship matching and eligibility — including matching you to awards restricted to a particular community — never to advertise to you, and never sold.
  • Content you create — essays, drafts, resumes, notes, and application details.
  • AI conversations — the messages you exchange with the AI coach and assistants, so the feature can respond and improve.
  • Information we derive — match scores, readiness insights, and recommendations generated from the information above.
  • Usage information — basic technical data (such as device and log data) needed to operate and secure the Service.

We practice data minimization: we do not collect Social Security numbers or government-issued ID numbers.

How we use your information

  • to provide and personalize the Service (college and scholarship matching, essay help, planning);
  • to improve and secure the Service and prevent abuse;
  • to communicate with you about your account, and — only with your consent — about other updates;
  • to process payments for paid plans; and
  • to meet legal obligations.

AI processing

Some features use AI providers to generate suggestions and drafts. When you use those features, the relevant content is processed to produce a response. We work to limit what is shared to what the feature needs.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Admito (for example, hosting, email/SMS delivery, payment processing, and AI processing), under agreements that protect your data — or when required by law.

Communications and SMS

We send account-related messages by email. Marketing emails and any text-message (SMS) program are opt-in: you choose to receive them and can opt out at any time (reply STOP to texts, or use the unsubscribe link in emails). Message and data rates may apply to SMS.

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service or meet legal requirements. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data.

Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take protecting your data seriously.

Your choices and rights

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show targeted advertising to students. We do advertise Admito: with your consent, our public marketing and scholarship pages measure which ads bring people here — never inside your account, and never using your profile, essays, or financial information (see our Cookie Policy). Depending on where you live, privacy laws — including the CCPA/CPRA and other U.S. state laws, COPPA (for children under 13), and FERPA-aligned principles for education records — give you rights over your information. Subject to applicable law, you can:

  • access, correct, or update your information in your account settings;
  • request a copy (portability) or deletion of your data;
  • opt out of marketing communications at any time;
  • withdraw a consent you previously gave; and
  • ask us not to sell or share your personal information (we already don't).

To make a request, email privacy@admito.ai. We respond to verifiable requests within 45 days and won't discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Some optional profile fields — for example race or ethnicity, disability status, religion, LGBTQ+ identification, or citizenship status — may be "sensitive personal information" under California law. We use them only to provide the college and scholarship matching and eligibility features you request, and we do not use or disclose them for purposes that would give you a right to limit their use — so we do not offer a separate "limit" control.

Age and children's privacy

You must be at least 13 to create an Admito account. We collect date of birth at sign-up and block registration by children under 13; Admito is not directed to them, and if we learn we have collected a child's information we will delete it.

Students aged 13–17 receive heightened protections: no targeted advertising, no sale of personal information, and privacy-protective defaults. A student under 18 may explore Admito, but before saving colleges or scholarships — or connecting with a counselor — an approved parent or guardian must be on file. Consent is obtained through a separate, authenticated guardian account plus a logged, affirmative acceptance (our verifiable-parental-consent method).

Parents and guardians of a minor may, subject to verification, review the student's information, request corrections or deletion, and withdraw consent. When a student turns 18, guardian visibility is suspended and the now-adult student decides on their own behalf. See our Children & Parental Consent policy for the full details.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand product usage. On our public pages only — never inside your account — we also measure which ads bring people to Admito, and only with your consent. Our Cookie Policy explains the details and your choices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Admito grows. If we make material changes, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know.
