Counseling Disclaimer, Assumption of Risk & Release

By connecting with a counselor through Admito, you (and, for a minor, the approving guardian) acknowledge and agree.

1. Counselors are independent third parties

Counselors on Admito are independent third parties, not employees, agents, or representatives of Admito. Admito facilitates and vets connections and provides the platform; it does not itself provide counseling and does not control the advice a counselor gives.

2. No guarantee of outcomes

Admito and its counselors do not guarantee admission to any school, any scholarship or financial aid, or any particular result. Advising is informational and supportive; decisions and their consequences are yours. See our Disclaimer.

3. The relationship is between you and the counselor

The advising relationship — and any dispute, claim, or liability arising from a counselor's acts or omissions — is between you and the counselor. You may pursue the counselor directly.

4. Assumption of risk

You understand that engaging an independent counselor carries risk, and you accept that risk in choosing to connect. You are responsible for evaluating whether a counselor is right for you.

5. Release & indemnification (to the extent permitted by law)

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you release Admito from, and agree not to hold Admito liable for, claims arising out of a counselor's acts or omissions or the advising relationship, and you agree to indemnify Admito against such claims that you or (for a minor) the student bring. Nothing here waives any claim or liability that cannot be waived under applicable law — including, where applicable, claims arising from Admito's own gross negligence or willful misconduct, or claims a minor cannot legally waive. Where a guardian accepts this release for a minor, it binds the guardian and applies to the minor only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

6. Duty to report / safety

If you ever feel unsafe or observe suspicious or inappropriate conduct, stop and report it via Trust & Safety; in an emergency contact local authorities or 911. Admito's vetting reduces but does not eliminate risk.

7. Not professional, legal, or financial advice

Advising through Admito is general educational guidance, not legal, financial, tax, or psychological services. For those, consult a qualified professional.

8. Dispute resolution & governing law

Disputes with Admito are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, with venue in Dallas County, Iowa, and resolved under Admito's dispute-resolution terms (see the Terms of Service). This does not govern a dispute solely between you and a counselor.
