Cookie and Tracking Policy
Last updated August 19, 2026
This page explains the cookies and similar technologies Admito uses. We use them to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the product is used so we can improve it. We do not sell your data. On our public pages only — never inside your account — we also use one advertising-measurement cookie, and only if you accept optional cookies.
What we use
Cookies, browser local storage, and similar identifiers to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand product usage.
Categories
- Strictly necessary — authentication, security, and core functionality. These are required and cannot be disabled.
- Functional — remembering your preferences and settings. Optional.
- Analytics — understanding product usage to improve outcomes. Optional (consent-based where required by law).
- Advertising measurement — measuring which ads bring people to Admito, using Meta's pixel. It runs only on our public marketing and scholarship pages, never inside a signed-in account, and only if you accept optional cookies. Optional.
Advertising measurement, stated plainly
We advertise Admito, and with your permission we measure which ads work. That measurement cookie is off unless you accept optional cookies, it never loads when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, and it never runs inside your account — so it does not see your profile, essays, documents, financial inputs, or matches. Under California law this may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising; declining optional cookies or sending GPC opts you out.
Analytics
Analytics events use identifiers and usage metadata — not your essays, documents, or financial content.
Managing your preferences
You can manage non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Where required by law (for example, in the EU/UK), we present a consent choice before setting non-essential cookies.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) as an opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information where the law requires: when your browser sends GPC, the advertising-measurement cookie does not load at all. Because there is no common standard for Do Not Track (DNT), we do not currently respond to DNT signals.
Changes
We will update this policy as our tools change.
